I will be providing photography coverage of the 2008 ACL Music Festival. National media may contact me for specific images. Regional media (other than Austin) may contact me as well. Locally, I will be shooting for Austin.com so look for images there the day after the festival starts.
One of the bands I’m looking forward to seeing again this year is the Raconteurs! Here’s a shot from their 2006 ACL performance.

Some promotional shots I did with on-air personality, Anne Hudson (Clear Channel radio, ME Television) this past weekend. She’ll be hosting the Big Ski Trip this Winter and reporting on it nationally.

Photos from this weekend. Vanessa is a musician and visual artist. She is playing around town, including Momo’s (Wed. 24th, 5pm) and Guero’s (Oct. 7th, 6:30pm). Her album, A Chain Unbroken, is available via her website.

The Fall 2008 issue of Austin Music & Entertainment Magazine features my cover photo of The Black and White Years, as well as several inside photos shot at the band’s house. The feature article is by Travis Catsull.
The guys in the band were great sports during the photo shoot. Here’s a shot that didn’t make it into the magazine (maybe the machete had something to do with that decision). Of course, out of context, this picture is a little strange.
It’s part of a series of shots showing what the band might look like shooting their own video with a VHS camera (in John’s hands, just behind Scott’s head). We went for “a video shoot gone terribly wrong” concept.

Drew Smith is also profiled in this issue in a writeup that includes a favorite photo we shot at the Continental Club.
